Great! Looking at survival. Mostly it’s automatic. There may be distractions from it now though. Simple guidance (however patronising) is valuable sometimes then.  Be clear though, it can have severe results if it’s overlooked.  Get it right then, if you want to LIVE enough to sort other things.

Living your life can be painful & takes your courage. We all need that. Without it, the hopeful feel apposed!

Surviving is also the start of Thriving.

Why we go into detail?

“There’s some in every country, that want you dead.

Don’t join them.

Appose them.”

(Sgt P Mackabe)

You need 6-8 glasses of fluid a day.

Less may be OK if your food has liquid in it.

You can live for 3 days without liquid.

You’ll then be dangerously “dehydrated” though.

If drinking enough is hard, seek help.

“We don’t want you to starve with us.

Help feed us

AND feed

yourselves.”

(Hibo Tegwe)

You need to eat a mix of foods to stay healthy.

You can survive about 30 days with no food.

You may be ill for years after this though.

Also harmful is “over-eating” or having too much of one food.

If eating right is hard, get help.

“Running just feels great. As an athelete,

I can tell you about the health benefits.

That’s not why I do it though.”

(Markus Lancio)

Activity, is needed for muscles, heart, brain & organs.

Health can suffer in many ways without it.

Aim for 30 minutes exercise a day.

If you can’t do that or you’re doing too much (+3hrs/day is  harmful “over training syndrome”) seek help.

“Every day, I help make rules, my state lives by.

Not one, has helped me sleep better though.”

(Govenor P L Jackson)

From the age of 13 up to 25, your sleep needs drop from about 12hrs to 7.5hrs.

You may now, not sleep much & think under 6hrs is “good”. You may, instead feel 12+hrs is still fine.

There may be an issue then and you should seek help.

“We could feel boosted, coping in tough conditions.

It’s better to sort them though.

That makes it easier for you, those close to you

and health workers.”

(Dr P Hibbert)

Poor hygiene or living standards are a health risk.

You could get more infections which take longer to heal.

Some health workers won’t be allowed in your place, if it’s a health risk for them too.

If dealing with it is too hard, get help.
